The battery works great. I have an older model APC ES500 and needed to replace the battery. After installing, it says that it should keep everything running for 17 minutes. Much cheaper alternative than the APC branded batteries. I also updated the APC Powerchute software since I was using the version that originally came with the UPS.

Easy Replacement

I bought some UPS from a thrift store and have been replacing the batteries as I bring them into service. This one is an APC Back-UPS ES 550.This battery installed easily and after charging it overnight I put a computer and monitor on the battery side and pulled the plug. It ran fine for fifteen minutes and would have ran longer but I just wanted a quick test.

Replaced a 5-6YO factory battery with this. Direct replacement. Will see how long something can run once battery is fully charged. The unit I'm using it in doesn't have a detailed status light but I had it plugged in for 5 minutes and I plugged and it seemed the unit stayed on. I use this with a security camera system so the cameras will run a bit if power goes out.
