poorly constructed

Very disappointed. I purchased this because it is solid birch and found immediately that it is poorly constructed. There isn't a support down the middle of the unit making the top shelf bow slightly upwards. This makes the middle slats wobble and not fit tightly in place. No matter how you configure the vertical slats, the top row won't fit snugly. It must be returned which is very inconvenient.
