Monoprice Cali DLX Plus HSS Electric Guitar with Gig Bag - Sunburst Ash Body, Wilkinson Bridge/Pickups, White Pickguard, Maple Fingerboard - Indio Series

This is a great guitar for a player who is relatively new to guitar. It is a much better strat copy than most. The neck is a solid piece of maple and the Wilkinson pickups give you all the classic strat tones plus a humbucker in the bridge position. A quality gig bag, cord, strap and Allen wrenches are included. It is a bit heavy so I had to send mine back but this should not be a problem for a younger player.

This guitar needed major fret work to be playable and not cut flesh wile playing. All had very sharp edges and were not quite level. The neck itself was fine, truss works though neck relief good without tension. Paint is fine, looks nice. Would not intonate with strings provided and a miss cut bridge pocket. Monoprice had no objections to returning it. Since paid 75$ and have a skill set and tools to remedy most of the issues on a rainy day that's what I did. Probably would have returned it paid much more than that. They will take back no problem. Not sure I could recommend a Monoprice guitar to anyone that can't do fret work or is not willing to pay to have I done. Got one before it also needed attention to be playable. Maybe I just get the ones that do. The guitar listed here was salvageable and sounds ok. Need to use wide strap due to it being over 10 pounds. I am happy with it due low expectations to begin with and enjoy the repair. If not would have been disappointed.
