The generator started after only 2 pulls. Per the supplied simple instructions, I filled the engine with the proper amount of oil, filled the fuel tank with unleaded gas, made sure the ECO switch was OFF, flipped the ignition switch to ON, turned the choke ON, pulled the starting cord twice and the engine started. The engine noise reduced considerably after I activated the ECO switch, but the engine noise was still a little louder than I expected,, but not to the point of being too loud. Overall,, a GREAT BUY!!
