PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION
This 4 Piece kit includes 10K, 14K, Silver testing solution and one Scratch Test Stone.
The testing solutions come in sturdy plastic bottles with internal baffle which prevents leaks to maximize safety and allows the user to precisely drop the amount needed.
The testing stone is used for testing gold karat as well as silver and platinum. The object to be tested is scratched on the surface of the stone and a test acid solution determines the karat of the scratch. Measures 2 " x 1 1⁄2" x 1⁄4".
HOW TO USE?
GOLD
SIMPLY SCRATCH THE PIECE OF GOLD YOU WOULD LIKE TO TEST ON A TESTING STONE AND PLACE 1 DROP ON THAT MARK WHERE THE STONE WAS SCRATCHED. IF THE SCRATCH DISAPPEARS, THEN THE ITEM IS EITHER NOT GOLD OR A LOWER KARAT. IF THE SCRATCH REMAINS, THEN THE ITEM IS THAT KARAT.
SILVER
1 drop on that mark where the stone was scratched.
Results:
Fine Silver 999 turns Bright Red
Sterling Silver 925 turns Dark Red
Silver 800 turns Brown
Silver 500 or less turns Green
