Stephan Roberts Tall 22 " Planters with Drainage Holes Set of 2, Gray

Just received these Stephan Roberts Planters today and I am very impressed! They are tall, elegant planters and appear to be very durable. Mine are white with black "spatters" or flecks. They are approximately 22" tall, almost 12" square at the top and taper to a 7" square at the bottom. These are not extremely heavy, but they're not real lightweight either. They are substantial enough that they won't topple when the wind gets up. An interesting feature of these planters is that they come with a base/shelf with four drainage holes that sets 12" down into the planter and provides a shelf for your flower pot which saves you the expense of filling the entire pot with potting soil. It is August in Central Texas which means heat and humidity and staying inside with air conditioning so these won't be planted until spring. However, I already know what will go in there -- ferns. I have several asparagus ferns, some of which need dividing in half so I will repot the halves in these planters, either to go by the front door or on the back patio. Or I may just order a second set so I can put a set in each location. I'm really looking forward to enjoying these beautiful planters for a very long time and I know you would like them too. Yes, they are perhaps a little more expensive than what you would normally pay for planters, but I think I'm safe in saying that they will probably last a lot longer than the pots I normally buy and I don't think they will fade from the sun if they end up in a sunny spot.
