Novice Cook

For someone who is not used to cooking on a regular basis, but looking for new & healthy ideas for quick meals, this book is great. I like the fact that they put menu ideas together towards the back of the book for certain occasions, and that is a tremendous help. You don't have to search page by page to try & figure out what will go with what. But, when you do have the time, you can put your own healthy menu together and get cookin'! The suggested substitutes for certain ingredients make you think, how did they come up with that?! This book will turn this novice into an expert soon enough.

get the first book!!

I really liked the first book "Cook Yourself Thin". It had good recipes that I would use. Good, everyday food. This followup book had absolutely not one recipe in it that interested me! Not even in the dessert section! I guess you would call it more high end food. Some might like to cook this way but not me. I returned the book.
