Whirlpool 279311 Dryer Igniter

This Whirlpool Dryer Igniter is designed to fit many Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, Estate, and Roper gas dryers.

This igniter ignites the gas from the gas valve of the dryer.

When the igniter burns out, the dryer tumbles but theres no heat because the gas cant ignite. When it burns out, you need to replace it. If the igniter is held by a tension bracket, you very well may need to replace the bracket too.
