Coat beef with flour. Heat oil in large deep skillet or Dutch oven on medium heat. Add beef; cook until browned on all sides. 2. Stir in Seasoning Mix and water. 3. Bring to boil. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add vegetables; simmer 1 hour or until beef and vegetables are tender, stirring. Thicken stew with additional flour, if desired. Must be cooked for food safety.

Hearty, comforting and foolproof!

McCormick's Classic Beef Stew Seasoning Mix is one of those pantry staples that never disappoints. It gives you that deep, slow-cooked flavor without needing a ton of effort. The blend of herbs and spices is very well-balanced — rich, savory, and a little peppery — making even inexpensive cuts of beef taste tender and flavorful. What I love most is the convenience: you just brown your beef, toss in veggies, mix with water, and let it simmer. Within an hour, the house smells amazing. It's also versatile — I've used it in the slow cooker, over mashed potatoes.

Rich Flavor & So Easy to Use

My fiancé and I both have really busy schedules, and I'm in nursing school, so I love anything that makes dinner easier. I tossed everything into the crockpot with this seasoning mix before class, and by the time we got home, the house smelled amazing. The stew came out super flavorful and rich. It saved me so much time and still tasted homemade. We both went back for seconds, and I'd definitely buy this again.

Comforting & Delicious Dinner

McCormick sent me this free sample of the Classic Beef Stew Seasoning Mix through the BzzAgent sampling program. It was super easy to make and very affordable. I used chuck roast because it was the cheapest and it turned out so tender and delicious. My whole family enjoyed it for a couple days. It's definitely better next day so try not to finish it the first day. I also recommend seasoning the beef with salt and pepper before tossing it in flour and browning it so the meat is better seasoned. Overall, I would love to make this again!
