Dissatisfied with the consistency of the product

What I didn't care about was that it wasn't like the containers I used to buy. Those were fresher and would pour out of the can. It made it easier to get the contents out of the container. I feel that even though the purchase I made was within the Best Used By dates it was a consistancy of a can that was out of date. It would not pour out of the can. I had to scrap the condensed milk out of the can.

I have used Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk for more than 40 years now! Hello Dolly (aka Magic Cookie Bars), lemon meringue pie, Cherry-o Cheese pie, quick homemade vanilla ice cream! Yes, indeed! I have nothing negative to say about my Eagle Brand! I still have my copy of The Dessert Lovers' Hand-Book from the 1980s that was free during that time mailed to consumers who requested it from Borden. This is such a joy to still have and is a wonderful keep-sake.

Love this stuff. I always have it on hand because my husband and I love to make Vietnamese iced coffees at home. The pull tab lid makes it easy to open. I transfer it to a glass jar with a lid and keep it in the fridge and it lasts us about a week. Great for baked goods as well.
