They are back!
I bought these years ago at my local grocery, but they seemed to disappear. I use them to make chili. The spices infused in the beans means I can throw together meat and sauce and avoid long slow cooking and still get that great flavor chili gets after marrying in the refrigerator overnight. I especially like the texture of the smaller bean with tender skin. The beans get well distributed within the other ingredients so every spoonful has a nice equal share of flavor and texture. I think you will like them in your recipes. Could be tasty in a taco salad methinks. Hopefully my Vons will start to stock them.
