This is our 3rd percolator in ten years. I like the glass top on this one, our last one didn't have that.I thought it was goofy looking because of the base and plug in base is different. I cleaned it well and made my first pot. As I stood there sipping my first cup of hot coffee I was thinking about how goofy it looks, it starts with a green light and when it's ready the red light comes on. "Backwards" I thought while I sipped. Then it hit me, "this is a great cup of coffee!" Hope it lasts.
