Not sure why anyone would just want a nut

Be advised, this is not a complete collet, it is only the nut. I'm not sure why anyone would just need the nut and not the whole thing. I think a Ryobi collet would work in my Craftsman router, but I'm not sure, and the that part is expensive! Makes more sense to invest the money in a new, better router. I'll return the nuts and look at routers.
