We bought our tent this year and used it on our first trip of 5 days of camping in Maine, We absolutely Loved this tent! we normally us a 2 person tent and with us being in our 50's getting in and out of that tent can be challenging at times, After buying this tent and using a queen size air mattress, we had plenty of room for our gear, and then some, On our trip we encountered some heavy rain, thunder lightning, and some winds, Then some brief showers I have to say the tent never leaked, it was sturdy and we felt confident and comfortable.After researching many tents, I chose this tent because of the high tub flooring and that the rain fly covered, all the way down leaving no unprotected sides, other campers with name brand tents , were all drying their tents and gear after the storm had cleared. We look forward to next year, and using our tent again, we still need to practice getting everything back in the bag, but with more use we will do it. Thank you NTK and I would recommend your tents to the others that use the Big Name tents.
I have never reviewed any product in my life, but his tent is amazing. My 88 year old partner and I went camping in a remote area of Wyoming. I was concerned about a couple of things. I am a 5 ft 6 inch 76 year old woman and the tent is 6.1 foot tall. However putting up the tent by myself was no problem...After setting up the tent, I just rolled up the rain fly into a tube and threw one end over the top of the tent. It stayed on top until I pulled down the sides. Second ...Wyoming is VERY windy and this is a tall tent. So I used all of the stakes to tie it down. For my first attempt, the tent almost buckled..The corner guys and stakes were too close to the tent. When I moved the the stakes with the guys several feet from the tent I was impressed that it withstood some very serious wind. Then it hailed really hard for about 20 minutes.so.e were gold ballsized hail. We waited it out I side the car...I thought... well there goes the tent...but no.. it was still standing g within damage... . I wouldn't hesitate to buy a tent from this company.. Their customer service and tent quality is stellar. I took a photo of the tent and hail. I hope it will be put up with this review
Great tent… if you're tall enough!
The quality of this tent is unmistakable. That was not my issue. Impossible for this 5'5”person to set up. Had to return. I was definitely too short to assemble. The waterproof nature of the tent means you can't see outside your tent at night. You'll need to decide which feature is more important. It IS a great tent though. It broke my heart to return it.
