Bad investment of $20 for diseased plants $10 Ne

Some of the leaves on the bottom of the plants had some whitish dust on them which I noticed after I brought the plant home. I removed those leaves but within a few days I noticed that many more of the leaves had this same dust on them. WHen I googled what th edust might be I found out it is called powdery mildew, and is a fungal disease. After reading about it I bought Neem Oil Spray ($10) and followed the directions to cut off ALL leaves that had mildew and then spray with neem oil. By the time I took off all the leaves on each of the three plants there were almost none left on the plants. I sprayed them with neem oil but have no idea if they will survive or ever produce flowers. The plants look terrible now and it will takes weeks to see whether they live or die. This was the WORST use of the $20 I spent to buy this plant and the $10 I spent to buy the Neem Oil (also from Walmart) to try to save the plants after I bought them!!
