was not unlocked as advertised

phone was in great condition when received and it was received faster than expected. but it was not unlocked. i completed all the troubleshooting that was mentioned that comes with the phone. let alone the phone needed several months of update which is crazy for a used phone that's been out for less than a year. i needed to 3 updates before it was finally "up to date". i started to think that there was an issue with the phone since it seemed like it kept needing to update. but even when it finally said uo to date. still nothing. my carrier as well tried quite some time to help at the store but nothing. the last of the troubleshooting states to contact the company via email as the "fastest" way to resolve the issue. it took 48 hours to get a response. by that time i decided to return the phone and shop elsewhere. personally doesnt make sense to me to need to do something as slow as email to troubleshoot an issue like this, especially if the response takes that long. let alone considering how out of date the phone was and the fact that it wasnt unlocked makes me question the quality control. i used to work for a second hand store where we also sold used unlocked phones. but we had very strict rules about testing phones first to make sure they are unlocked before putting it up for sale. was told by Walmart that i will get my refund after the package is received, but the app is telling me that i havent started my refund yet so we shall see how the refund process goes
