As someone with minimal cooking experience, this book is amazing! Great meals, but not too intimidating to try, and manageable time-wise for a busy family! My husband recently passed away unexpectedly and did all our family's cooking; he had worked in a 5 star steak house in college and learned his skills from a chef who trained with Gordon Ramsey, so this book makes me feel like I'll still be able to give our kids some of the fancy meals he would have made for them and can make him proud.
