This stockpot is the best for making candy. I regularly make toffee and I can always count on an even cook because of the cooper lining. That doesn't mean I can walk away from the stove, but it does make the process easier. I actually have two now.

Great use as a Dutch Oven
Just bought this a month ago to replace a Anodized Aluminum 8.5 qt. pot that I used for several years as a Dutch Oven. That pot warped and became a pain. This does not warp and heats great. What I appreciate is that it is not nearly as heavy as the traditional enameled cast iron. With the multi ply going up the sides, the heat conduction is excellent.
