This, a budget friendly AVR with amazing sound when paired with quality speakers. My only complaint is, I wish Denon and Amazon could get their hdmi handshake issues resolved. If you use a Firestick for streaming, leave it plugged into the TV and use ARC or eARC to send the audio back to the AVR. Mine is in a network rack on the other side of my living room. Music streaming with the HEOS app is awesome! Bluetooth works well, but HEOS is much better.

We have found in many cases - where sources are connected to the AVR first (such as Firestick) - HDMI handshake issues are generally caused by the HDMI cables themselves. I suggest having a look at Audioquest's Pearl HDMI cable for connecting your sources and TV to the AVR-S970H, as their HDMI cables have yet to let us down. Thank you for choosing Denon.
