Setting things up was easy. The app also makes it great to see things when I am away from home. I can set it up to alert if any motion and tge cameras will snap pictures. It did not come with a hard drive. I wasn't aware of this, I am not technically savy. Once I found the hard drive, it was easy to install. I highly recommend this security system.
