Wrong item sent to me

I was sent the wrong recorder. I emailed the vendor about it through Walmart. I waited four days for a reply, heard nothing back, so I called customer service. I was told twice by a customer service rep that I could keep the item, not return it, and that I would be refunded. A few days later, I got an email saying I needed to return the item for a refund!! I had already given the recorder away in that time because it was of no use to me. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from Walmart again.
