An ubridled proliferation of human population, has generated interest in the areas of Limnology, Fish and Wildlife Ecology, as well as Biology. A corollary to this fact has come in the form of an increased pressure upon water and land resources. Further aggravation of this problem has been caused by the allied incidence of pollution, deforestation and the near extinction of wildlife. Consequently, the very survival of mankind is threatened.
