It made the dress poofy as expected. You have to be careful when sitting down so the dress doesn't raise up. It has hoops that are a hard plastic so it doesn't bend to form when sat on. My daughter is slim so I have to tie to very tight. The tie doesn't stay put when drawn, it is a string in a loop. you have to know how to knot it so it doesn't loose when worn and it unties easily when it has to be taken off. The skirt comes folded and there are no instructions on how to refold when finished. I have tried bending it every which way except the right was. I still haven't gotten it right.
