I purchased this dress for a medieval themed wedding a friend was having. Needless to say, this dress was perfect! I love everything about it, the fit, the look, the comfortability, everything! I am 5'5 and 155 and ordered a Medium. It fits perfectly and I will had rooms to dance around and move. The bottom of the dress is sheer which added a great hint of sassy to it."

FYI--I dye fabric and sew for fun. I loved the dress so much I was willing to work with it to make it work. This dress has turned out to be a big project. I bought an X-large even though I wear a large. They didn't have any larges left in stock. The dress was big and long on me; I'm 5 '4" with a bust of 40". There's plenty of room in the hips--lots of fabric to work with so the skirt will probably work for many women. I needed the dress to shrink big time so I laundered the heck out of it in hot water. Color kept washing out and I wanted to make sure I got all the extra dye out. I kept throwing whites in to see if they picked up color, and they did--hilarious. lol By then, the dress fit great and had shrunk in overall size and length, but it had really faded. I didn't like the color at that point, so I re-dyed it with my Procion MX dyes and set the color with soda ash. Now the color is slightly different but absolutely gorgeous! A deep blue violet. As other reviewers have said, however, some of the seams broke apart in the laundry. I plan to get some iron-on mending tape to fix these. Yes, this has been a big project, but it was worth it for me to work with this ready-to-wear dress rather than try to make this dress from scratch. And I really love it!!!!
