It's it's perfectly on your steering wheel. The wheel has to be straight if the wheel is turned, it won't sit right and I put it in between the seat and the center console when I'm not using it and it prevents items from falling in between my seat. I had this item in my vehicle. And now I need a second one. It makes it so much more convenient. I work out of my car so it is a lifesaver. I use it every day and if I eat lunch when I'm working, I use it for lunch. I say maybe five times a day I use it. I highly recommend this for anybody, especially if you are taking your car on vacation and stuff. It just really is convenient to have this train in your car to place your food on in order to eat. I love mine.
