I got this a little over a week ago for Christmas and have been having a good time with it. I am amazed that it's possible to have an actual RC aircraft in such a small size. The contents of the package includes the drone itself (available in either red or black with internal rechargeable battery), the control box (uses 2 AAA batteries, user provided), a USB charge cable, two spare sets of props and some minimal instructions. The drone itself measures 3 inches across in either direction and is 1 inch tall. It will easily fit in the palm of an adult hand. It will fly for around 5 minutes when fully charged and takes less than 30 minutes to charge (I am approximating and have not actually measured either).
I will admit that I am new to piloting drones so my comment about it being a bit hard to control is partly due to that, but I also have a larger drone that I find easier to control. I would have given it 4.5 stars if possible.
I like several things about this drone. It is not impossible to fly even for a novice like myself with some concentration. It has protective plastic completely around the props so you can bump into wall and such without hurting it. In fact, if it lands upside down, the prop guard keeps it from being damaged. I have had both happen to me and there has been no damage to the props. I was impressed that it came with not one, but two complete sets of replacements in case of damage but have not had to use them. The drone has navigational LEDs on it too which is very nice to be able to tell the direction it is going. It has white on the front, green on either side and red in the back. The drone has an on/off switch as well so you can be certain when it is on or off. The drone is even able to do flips and can operate in three different speed modes. It can also operate in either 3 or 4 channel mode which changes the controls slightly.
While you can probably fly this drone outside, it works pretty good inside as long as you are careful not to hit anything that can be damaged. I fly it in our bedroom where that is not a problem.
I would certainly recommend this drone to anyone that would like to try one out without spending a lot of money.
