The design on these was more beautiful than I thought. It was a very pleasant surprise. The material is a good, heavy, and sturdy metal. We've run them through the dishwasher several times with no discoloration. I would recommend using a rinse aid as they can retain water spots. Otherwise, they are great.

Beautiful, but lightweight

My son picked out this silverware for us; his favorite color is black, and I am an herbalist, so it represented pieces of both of us. It is really nice-looking, beautiful pieces. However, they're surprisingly lightweight, especially for the price. They were only just delivered today, so I haven't used them yet. I'm really hoping they hold up over time, with much use and washing (hand washing, I don't have a dishwasher).
