I just love this slicer. I bought it based on the reviews I read and they are not wrong. It is not like some of the cheaper ones with serrated blades. This is a super sharp professional style blade. Cleaning it is not the easiest as you cannot take it totally apart, but you can get into all the areas with a bottle brush. Despite this, I still give it five stars. I used it to slice eye of round for jerky. Setting 5 was the perfect thickness. I really love how inflexible the thickness guide is. It makes for consistent cuts. Other models bend under pressure and throw your cuts way off. I haven't tried it on coldcuts or cheese yet, but since it cut through frozen solid beef I am sure it will do a great job.
