Bayonetta - Xbox 360

Bayonetta is the best action game I have ever played. This game is along the lines of Ninja Gaiden and Devil May cry with a little Viewtiful Joe thrown in the mix. The combat is absolutely fantastic and the controls are solid. Anytime you mess up / lose a fight / die you know it's YOUR fault, not the fault of sluggish response or broken enemies. Let's be fair: most games these days are easy. You play through one time without much of an issue and there's no reason to go back. This is not the case with Bayonetta. The game is difficult, but not frustrating. There are a TON of unlockables (items, weapons, characters, etc.) and the scoring/rating system will keep arcade-style players busy trying to earn better combos, times, and awards. Sadly, may people will overlook this game due to the lack of hype around it. Those people will miss out on a solid game with tons of BANG for the buck.

Bayonetta is perhaps one of the deepest action games ever released. I have gotten hours upon hours out of this game trying to unlock everything and mastering my combos. There are limitless customization when it comes to weapon set-ups and costumes. I highly recommend any action fans to pick up this game ASAP.
