How to measure the dog size?
Chest: measure the thickest part of the chest, add 2-3cm (1 inch) will be better. (Usually behind the two legs)
Length: Make sure your dog stands properly, not sitting or lying. Measure along the dog's backbone from the base of the neck to 5cm (2 inch) front the base of the tail.
Neck: the girth of the neck, add 2-3cm (1 inch) will be better.
Note: If your dog is a large chest, long hair, or at the high end of the size, you may order the next larger size to ensure a comfortable fit.

This coat works so far!
I have two totally different dogs as far as activity level goes. I have a dog that needs to run around for over an hour to burn energy. My other dog has hip dysplasia and likes to be more mellow. I take my dogs to the local dog park as it is tbe best of both worlds for my dogs. My active dog can run around and chase her friends while my other dog and I walk around. Since my dog with hip dysplasia is not as active she gets cold in Wisconsin winter. This coat has helped keep my dog substantially warmer. She gets excited to put it on. Yes, this coat is thin, but it blocks the wind. It also kept my handicapped Labrador retriever warm to about 15F so far. Wisconsin temperatures are sure to get much colder than that.
Just right weight and size
This is exactly what I wanted. Just a light coat. Not a thick jacket but warmer than a shirt. Just right for sleeping all night without her asking to get in my bed. She has very short hair and our house is at 62 overnight and she wants to be warmer! My dog is 16 lbs and the small fit her really nicely. She has a deep chest and long legs and a average length back. Some people said its not reversible because of the exposed hook part of the Velcro but on my dog that part is completely covered by the flap so it is smooth against her there both ways
