Batman: Arkham Asylum (Playstation 3)

Hello again fellow gamers, this is going to be a highly detailed review (as much as possible given my current situation) If you want a review that say "gwaphics awre awessoome, gamepway is good, good story" Than look down I'm sure there's one for ya. This game met my expections to a T. And i gotta tell ya i was fairly certain is was not going to. If you've ever watched the animated series from the 90's than this game needs to be in your house. If you havnt then i suggest you go and buy seasons 1 and 2 along with this game. Graphically it does indeed keep up with everything they have shown, in short phenominal for the settings given. The unfortunate thing about this is that the view is mostly wasted due to the dependency of the "bat vision" if you will. An infared vision that highlights things of importance, as well as allowing you to see enemies through the walls of the level. Believe me its a must, or the game truly isnt enjoyed how it was meant to be. The voice acting is absolutely incredible, the only voice i found a bit lacking was commisioner gordan, but i feel like it wasnt really fair for him because the others are just sooo great. Storyline is classic batman, absolutely astonishing. I will not spoil any of it however, because the twists and unfolding of the story is one of the main enjoyment factors this game offers...ON THAT NOTE the other Most Enjoyable Factor of this game is ITS GAMEPLAY! That statement is a statement thats usually not found when good graphics and story are in the same category. The gameplay is flawless, the only flaw that could have been was the "alert bolts" over the enemies heads before they attack but on hard its not there. HARD IS THE WAY TO PLAY THIS GAME. IT WAS BUILT TO BE PLAYED ON HARD. Combat, camera angles, diversity, cleaned up and organized HUD and control scheme, THE TOTAL PACKAGE IN GAMEPLAY. The only reason, THE ONLY reason i gave this game a four star for value, is because of its length. Roughly 12 hours is a long time sure, but this game should just never ever end. I see 63.56 after tax to be a lil too much for 12 hour adventure. It does make up for it with riddler quests, and arena type ranking. But those are they're own surprises. Gotta go though guys, hope it helped!
