Flushing flow restrictor will replace your current flow restrictor on your RO or RO/DI system. Remove your current flow restrictor, if you have an inline restrictor, just replace with this one, if you have a capillary restrictor inside the tubing, remove it and then cut your drain line and put this inline. When the valve is in the closed position, it works as a regular flow restrictor regulating the amount of waste water to the drain. When in the open position, all water goes to the drain to flush the membrane. Easy as turning the handle! Recommend flushing the membrane if the unit has been sitting for a week or so without being used, or just periodically for extra cleaning of the membrane to prolong life and give you higher purity water quality. The unit comes with female threaded fittings 1/4", it also comes with threaded quick connect fittings 1/4" to make connecting to your tubing easier if needed. Just put teflon tape on the fittings and screw them into the flushing flow restrictor.
