Amazing series and great read!
The Saga of the Seven Suns Book Seven: The Ashes of Worlds This science fiction space opera/ epic are one of the most exciting books of our time. The large cache of characters is woven into an intricate web of events and twists that will leave most readers flabbergasted. This story is the perfect balance of action, science, and romance. You will never get bored reading a book from the saga. “The Ashes of Worlds,” the seventh and last book in “The Saga of the Seven Suns,” takes place over the span of the universe. There are some key places in the story for instance Earth and its splinter colonies, Ildiria and its splinter colonies, the various Klikiss worlds, Theroc, and a number of Roamer outposts. A story of this magnitude has many characters. The characters and what their relevance is are listed below: Brindle, Robb- One of the leaders of the confederations military. Cain, Eldren- Chairman Basil Wenceslas’s deputy and heir-apparent. Celli- Youngest daughter of Idriss and Alexa; Became green priest. Colicos, Anton- Declared honorary rememberrer by Mage-Imperator. Colicos, Margaret- Captured and lived among Klikiss for years; helped Llaro colonists escape. Covitz, Oril- Girl who survived Corribus and helped on Llaro with her music. DD- Escaped Sirix and now serves Oril. Queen Estarra- King Peter’s wife. Fitzpatrick, Patrick- Married to Zhett Kellum. Known as the hero of the rebellion. Jora’h- Mage-Imperator. Kellum, Zhett- Wife of Patrick. Kett, Rlinda- Confederation trade minister. General Lanyan, Kurt- Commander of EDF. Lotze, Davlin- He currently is the Klikiss breedex. Osira’h- Daughter of Jora’h and Nira and has usual telepathic abilities. OX- Royalties teacher compy and one of the oldest compys still functioning. Peroni, Cesca- Speaker of all the Roamer clans and infused with the elemental powers of the Wentals. King Peter- King of the Hansa, leader of the Confederation, and husband of Estarra. Roberts, Branson- Former husband and business partner of Rlinda Kett. Rusa’h- Former Hyrillka Designate and infused with the elemental powers of the Faeros. Sarein- Basil Wenceslas’s lover and earth ambassador of Theron. Helped bring the downfall of the Hansa. Tamblyn, Jess- Cesca Peroni’s lover. Infused with the elemental powers of the Wentals. Tamblyn, Tasia- Former EDF soldier. Now in the Confederation with her lover Robb Brindle. Vao’sh- Friend of Anton and rememberer that worked closely with the Mage-Imperator. Wenceslas, Basil- Chairman of the Hansa; corrupt leader. Even though the number of characters in the story is vast the author makes it easy to keep track of them and the stories they take part in. There are many conflicts through-out this epic. For instance the ancient elemental entities locked in a timeless battle over power and balance. Then there is the conflict between Basil and peter over the control of the human race. Basil is fighting corruptly and Peter is fighting for the good of the human race. Then there is a conflict with the Roamers and the Hansa over star drive fuel, which is only provided by the Roamers. In the Ildiran Empire the Ildirans have to fight for survival against Rusa’h and the elemental power of the faeros. Also the humans are fighting with the Klikiss over the control of Klikiss splinter colonies and with their robots who want to wipe out all races in the spiral arm. But the overall conflict in the story is the power of good against evil to restore balance in the universe. The book was a great read and I would recommend it to anyone who has the time and desire to read an amazing book. All in all I would rate the book five stars out of five. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope that others who read it will have the same reactions that I did.
