Step 1: Let Pet get used to the Grinder: If your pets are afraid of the grinder at the first time, you can show the grinder to them and let them smell or listen, which will reduce some fear of them. Step 2: Select the appropriate port and speed: Choose the port and speed that fits your pet size and nail hardness. Talk to them while using the grinder, hold the nail grinder in one hand, hold the pet's claw in the other hand, and gently put the nail into the port for no more than 5 seconds each time. When starting grinding, it is recommended to run at low speed. Adjust to high speed after the pet is adapted. Step 3: Reward your pet and clean the grinder: Prepare some snacks, reward them after trimming the claws, trim and clean, remove the grinder cover, and wipe the surface of the grinding wheel with a soft cloth to remove the nail powder.

The design of it is easier to hold. I have a chihuahua with white nails so I can we the blood vein. It filed his nail so fast I had to be careful and not look away. His nails are really easy to file. I had the first one that was "seen on tv" and I really liked it. I lost it in a move so had to go get a new one. This was the only one in the dog clipper/filer area. I would prefer the one I had before then this one.
