Cat Craft Large Grey Deluxe Super Soft Cat Bed (18" Round Deluxe Bolster Bed)

I wanted to write a review because the single 1 star review didn't really go into details of the pros and cons of this bed. I bought this bed to go with my perch condo by Cat Craft that is part of the Easy Kitty Building System. The bed can attached to the top of the tiny condo. Since the bed is attached it won't fall off, at least easily, like if I just thrown a regular bed on top. So on to the pros: The bed appears very comfortable. I went with the 12” circumference since that was how wide the condo top it would be sitting on was. The system doesn't specify if the bed had to be the same size as the top of the condo but I didn't want it to over hang and make it more difficult for her to get on top. Like I said the bed is very fluffy and comfortable, she curls up right into the middle and is surrounded by fluffy walls. She still small. But if your concerned about size, remember cats like small things and love to curl up all snug so I don't think needing it to be wider will be a problem. The other plus side is that you can use this with other Cat Craft product or as a stand alone bed. The solid plate used for attaching is also removable. If stand alone bed it might help to keep the bed in one place since it doesn't have a slip resistant bottom. But if you don't want the heavy bottom your fine to remove it. I should also note all Cat Craft product you can buy replaceable parts from the One Source International website. I always find it by searching the Easy Kitty Building System. You can practically build most of their products from the replaceable parts. They have a lot on there. But idk if the bed itself counts but you can probably buy the cork board bottom if that broke and a longer screw from their site. It shipped immediately. Took 4 days to arrive. Cons: So when I read the other review I didn't quite understand the problem with the walls not being solid. I see now that at least if you are using it with another product the problem is, is that when she tries to jump and hold onto the side of the bed to get in, it just not very stable and she gets scared and falls off. But she's found other ways to get on top so it's not a huge problem. Another issue I had was the bolt that came with the bed for the purpose of attaching it to other product didn't seem long enough. I had to go half way on both side which just didn't seem very sturdy but for now it is attached. I guess another issue which isn't really a problem as long as the bolt holds is that if she sleeps near the edge it does like to lean heavily over the side of the condo. But not sure if that's really a problem. Lastly. This is expensive. It's probably crazy that I spent more on this bed $25.99 than I did on the actually small condo, $14.99. But I think it was worth it so that she would sleep near the window and be at eye level for me when I am on my bed. I think it is adorable. I spoil her. So if you have the money it might be worth it to you. But if your on a budget, don't.
