Perfect sized Sketchbook- but, damp storage?

I definitely like that this sketchbook is the very 6 x 6 size I wanted. I do not like that when received the pages of the sketchbook are "warped, wavy" as if stored in a damp area. After letting the sketchbook sit, unused, the pages do appear to be "flattening" out.
