McCormick Gourmet Organic Mint, 0.25 oz Bottle

I received this McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Mint in exchange for a review. I've recently been trying some Mediterranean and Indian inspired recipes that called for mint. Previously the only mint I had on hand was my peppermint tea so I would use that. This month however is so much better. Just opening the jar you're hit with a delicious fragrant mint. My husband across the kitchen could smell it and commented on how nice it smelled. It's taste is about as good as it's smells, minty and slightly sweet. Other dried mints I've found are old and "green" tasting, but this was fresh, minty and delicately sweet. I'm curious about what varieties were used because the flavor is very dynamic, it doesn't taste like a singular variety of (for example) peppermint. I'm excited to use this for more new recipes. Though I wish McCormick's website had more than the one recipe I found. For those wanting to try new spices (or spices in a different way), it was disappointing that they had only one suggestion for how to use their mint. An interesting aside, I really like the jar: it's nice glass with a metal lid. It feels premium and not cheap like some of the discount spices I pick up.
