The Story of the Black & White Group and Zebra Logic We are pleased to release this album. It has been heartbreaking, frustrating, loads of fun, expensive and, in the end, a truly rewarding experience. My name is Robert Masters and I came up with the songs; they are a reflection of my soul, my heart, my mean side, my loving side, and my playful side. My good friend and partner, Mark T. Nelson, made these songs magical. A seasoned professional and a reluctant genius, Mark has a gift with arrangement and the assemblage of personnel. There is the key to the name quot;Black & White Groupquot;: we do not care what color you are...we do care if you can play and sing. As near as I can tell, everybody can play and sing. As I mentioned above, Mark can assemble talent. Nate Bray and Tom Ware top this list. Nate Bray can sing like a bird. Nate is an outstanding bassist, can play keyboards, and is a strong guitarist. Tom Ware is a top-notch drummer, gifted in many styles, and his contributions are outstanding. Tom, by the way is the co-producer with Mark as well as the engineer, and, as far as I'm concerned, Master Seargent of the recording sessions. Tom's studio, Ware House Productions Inc., is a world-class facility located in Omaha, Nebraska. I would be remiss, however, if I did not mention the help his wife and partner Terri Ware offered in the completion of this project. Thanks also to Jorge Nila and Paul Anderson for providing outstanding saxophone play. MoJoPo adds harp play; MoJo's presence also adds a karma no one understands. Lastly, thanks to my good friend Kent Swain for his objective analysis. Zebra Logic? Looking at the cover, they all found water and they all stayed together. We look forward to the next album. We will drink from the pool of creativity and we can hope we will all be together.
