Finally!

I watched this show when it aired in 1977-78 which had only 8 episodes and was cancelled. This has never been released in any video format for the public until now. I am so happy to have this show finally on DVD! This show was ahead of its time and is a comedy that spoofs most of this genre which includes Star Trek and Star Wars even using many Star Trek sound effects. This was a great show unleashed to soon and would have done better in the mid 80s rather than the late 70s.

Star Trek Satire

Quark is a satire of the Star Trek genre. As such it is expected to stretch reality, mock itself & the genre, and grab any available pun. In this Quark does not dissapoint. Some of the character show some ingenuity: Twins playing the part of the original and a clone, a robot that falls in love with other appliances, and an emotional bi-polar hermaphrodite whose mood, thought processes, etc. morph depending on gender. However, the graphics are dissapointing and the acting and writing are sub-par. At 14.95 it is still worth a few laughs and if you really like Airplane and Space Balls and can get past the poor graphics, you might really enjoy this.
