Sabrent 3.5mm Headset Splitter Adapter (CB-AUHM)

It works and isnt difficult to use, not really a high bar here. What did you want, a bottle opening y-splitter?

This is a male 3.5mm 4 pole plug split into two separate female 3.5mm 3 pole (standard stereo headphone) Stereo recepticals. Given the description and color coding (being a convention used by many manufactures) implying that this is a 4 pole male plug adapted to separate the microphone (mono input color coded pink)from the right and And left stereo outputs. (Color coded green Instead of giving you a configuration of a 4pole male split into a 2pole and 3pole female configuration, this is simply a 4pole male split into two 3pole females. Electrically, it is not what it is advertised to be. The male and female ends are very nicely made heavy connectors, however, the gauge of the wire is pretty flimsy, but no weaker than the wire on a iPhone7 headphone adaptor. This product would be awesome if it was just what it said it was. I Wound up ordering the parts I needed from digikey and building the adaptor that this one was supposed to be for myself. I'd send this one back, but the hassle is not worth the time. The only reason I'm even reviewing this product is because I was sent an email asking that I do so. Otherwise, I'd just have let it go. I hadn't thought about it once since I tested it and found it to not be quite what it was advertised as. I just moved on and got the parts to build the adaptor. Good enough for me.
