The only issue I have is that this is another product that is no longer regularly stocked by Walmart (although it used to be). Actually, more recently they RARELY have the 24oz bottles of Hot Original Pace in stock. They usually have both Mild and Medium, but NOT Hot.

It's got heat %26 spice, but not enough heat spicy! It's a hit and miss with the jars. I still recommend over the mild! Perfect by itself with chips, mixed with queso, or added to your eggs.

This is the good stuff

OK - this is the best Picante Sauce I've tasted (and I've tried just about all of the store brands). It's very hot to the tongue for the first two servings (first two bites)...but then your tongue gets used to it and you taste the flavor instead of the heat. Wonderful flavor - noticeably better even than the Pace medium picante, and almost everyone agrees that Picante Sauce tastes better than Salsa. (Haven't tried Picante before? Go ahead - compare it to salsa - Picante is much better.) Make no mistake: I'm not one of those guys who pops jalapenos into my mouth or tries to "prove he's a man" by eating the hot-spiciest things I can find. I'm probably a pretty average American as far as being able to stand spicy hot foods. This stuff is just really good - IF you can get past the first two bites.
