A tasty, nutritiuos pasta for a variety of dishes

In our family my macaroni and cheese is a big deal. I make it from scratch, mix the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni, put half the mix into a casserole dish, add a layer of crushed bread crumbs/potato chips and shredded cheese, layer the other half on top and repeat the process adding a last layer of shredded cheese 10 minutes before it's done. With all that work going into it I'm not going to skimp on the pasta. Barilla has just enough chew to it to give it a firm texture which my family loves, especially my eldest son. He's vegetarian and also has braces which limits what he can comfortably and ethically eat. I've never gotten any complaints about any of the Barilla pasta I've served over the years whether it be lasagna, rotini, linguini - you name it, they love it. All you need to add is a vegetable and maybe some garlic bread and you've got a meal to be proud of. I always purchase extra when it's on sale and donate it to our local food pantry with a jar of pasta sauce. It's relatively inexpensive and provides a needy family with a good nutritious meal.

Versatile and Economical

Good value! Versatile, I cook them often! Make them many different ways, with beans, or lentils, or with tomato sauce, or salsa, or your favorite dressing. Many ways to use them, limited only by your culinary imagination! When dog food cost more than people food, I share what I cook with the doggies

My Favorite

Hello from Florida! Barilla's Elbow Pasta is my favorite. As my family's home chef, I cook a lot. Yes, I use the Great Value brand of Elbow Pasta most often, but when I want to make a next-level macaroni %26cheese (with lots of good cheeses), I purchase this box of Elbow pasta, because it had nice ridges in it that the sauce adheres to even better. I use it in my Italian dishes when I want to impress, and I use it to make pasta salads, and macaroni salads. There is a difference, and when you have an extra dollar or so to spend, buy the Barilla brand.
