Prairie State Friends: The Decision (Paperback)

I enjoyed reading this first book in the Prairie State Friends trilogy. Jonah has had disappointment in love in the past and has moved to Illinois to start over. He has his own buggy shop business and finds friendship and plans to marry his girlfriend Elaine. But then tragedy strikes for Elaine with her grandfather's death. Elaine had promised to care for her grandmother, but before long her grandmother is diagnosed with diabetes and then dementia. Elaine becomes her grandmother's caregiver and feels that she must let Jonah go even though it breaks her heart. What will become of both Elaine and Jonah's lives? I felt for Elaine and the difficulties she encounters while being her grandmother's caregiver. I felt that Wanda did a wonderful job writing about caring for someone with dementia. The characters in the story are relatable and as the reader, I wished there was something I could do for both Jonah and Elaine. Looking forward to reading the other books in this set!
