to the other reviewers...the teeth are made to be staggered where people said theyre not symmetrical...its for longer haircuts so you can fine trim the top instead of worrying about scissor cutting. I have thick hair and the number 8 in my whole set was leaving my hair sticking up (I MEAN THICK). Summertime i buzz down to a 3-2-1 cut but winter i wanted to keep it long and taper down to a 2 and heard about these. My hair grew so long (on purpose) and used the 12 to fairly good results but it wasnt THAT long but the 10 nailed it to be able to keep my hair still combable on top. STUPIDLY i went down to an 8 after that to see the difference but another month itll come back and basically tapered sides from 6 down to 2 (those ear tapers go from 2 to 4) and even the wife was impressed
