Neosporin has been my first line of defense since the early 90's. I had a Parakeet. A cat slit open his tummy. left a gapping hole. No vets care for birds. My only idea or option was to treat Peppis wound like i do my kids. I rinsed wound with boiled/ Cooled water. paper towel dried. Then filled that gapping hole with Original Neosporin until it over flowed. Kept him in my quiet bedroom in a 70 degree temp. After Repeating this every 4 days. For 1 month. He recovered completely. Lived another 10 years. Yes he was 14 years old. This experience made me a Believer in this Neosporin product.
