Redpack Crushed Tomatoes in Puree, 28 oz Can

5 stars given but will update later. I only purchased Red Pack because chefs I follow and trust recommended this brand. Honestly never gave this brand a second thought. I have used Hunts, contadina, pastene, cento, tuttorosso, great value etc. safe to say I never decided to be loyal to one peculiar brand because I have not yet found the perfect consistent taste and balance for my spaghetti gravy. Whether I am making grandmoms cook all day gravy or a light marinara I will update when I finally taste this brand. I hope my search has ended.

I've been buying Red Pack tomatoes (all varieties) for years. Their whole tomatoes are packed in tomato puree instead of tomato juice. Their crushed tomatoes are thick, deep red, and tasty; not runny like some, especially store, brands. I just used a can to throw together a quick beef %26 noodle dinner. Simple fast and good: one can Red Pack crushed tomatoes, half an onion diced, some crushed garlic, some chopped mushrooms, and a pound of cooked elbow pasta. Ready in minutes. Even better the next day. Highly recommend Red Pack tomatoes!
