i love this filter. i have an older one on my old tank, and its still running like a champ many many years later. its survived several brownouts and power cutoffs, which seem to kill most other filters. i just got this new one for my newer tank, since none of the other filters i have tried match the durability of this one. it also works great and keeps my tank very clean. filter media is a snap to replace, which is a bonus
