Electric Meat Slicing Machine - Automatic Food Preparation Equipment Meat Slicer for Kitchen Use (Black)

I use this to slice home made seitan that I cook in a ham press. The adjustability is great ranging from wafer thin slices for deli sandwiches to thick slabs for frying up as the entree centerpiece. The slicer is well built and uses decent materials. Although most of it is plastic, it feels fairly sturdy, remains lightweight, and everything seems to work smoothly. The blade disconnects for easy cleaning (without tools), and the other parts also come off for washing with exception of the adjustable thickness plate, which is pretty easy to clean down in place. The guards make for a pretty safe slicing experience so less worry about cutting yourself, and the suction pads on the bottom even stick very well to my old tiled kitchen counter. Aside from the dense seitan, I've also sliced much softer tofu, and even bread - all with great results. One very minor downside is that there are some unavoidable small crumb/particle buildups (less then 1%) as part of the slicing process, but it's still far better than any other method I've tried.

Well made and does what it says it will do. Good value. However, The registration insert in the packaging says tghe warranty is for 5 years yet the system only allows you to register for 3 years. Not sure why that is.
