Lutein is a yellow-orange carotene that research has shown to offer powerful support to help the body protect the eyes, lungs, and arteries. Lutein and a related carotene Zeaxanthin are found concentrated in the eyes (particularly in the macula and the lens) where they help to absorb damaging blue light, quench singlet oxygen, and inhibit lipid peroxidation. Natural Factors Lutein provides 20 mg of natural Lutein in a highly absorbable form derived from FloraGlo Lutein (derived from marigold flowers) and is purified according to a patented process.

It works
Have been using this product for several years now and would not be without it. My eyes (and my husbands also) improved so much that our opthamologist asked us what we were using as both our eyes improved. To this day I only need reading glasses and I am 72 years old.
