Best episodes of the Colin Baker years

This is the best episodes of Collin Baker when he portrayed the Doctor. It was unique on a timelord being put on trial and what he did to defend himself from the charges against him. This special addition was also on sale and more affordable as well. Another must for any Doctor Who fans.

Far better than its reputation

While this particular season of Doctor Who is generally maligned by many fans, it is actually a rather good. While the admittedly silly costumes and cheap special effects may put some people off, the stories themselves do manage to engage the audience and weave a worthwhile narrative. Much like the season itself, Colin Baker is often criticized by some very vocal portions of the fan community, his performance in these episodes prove that he was right for the role, managing to bring his version of the Doctor into full form even in the face of some occasional repetitive or poorly written dialogue. While the final episode does disappoint a little, the special features that include some very enlightenig and candid insight into the production nightmare behind the scenes, you find yourself more than able to forgive. So, with four very memorable stories and a host of wonderful special features, this box set is not to be missed by any fan of classic Doctor Who.

Colin Baker is the Doctor!

Trial of a Timelord is an ambitious set of adventures set in the Doctor's past, present, and future. He must give evidence on his behalf in order to clear his name among his own people, the Timelords, however it becomes clear that not all is as it seems. This fourteen part story arc was regarded as bold, inventive, and at times a little confusing. However, growing up I remember how the look of the series became rather good for this particular season, and Colin Baker is extremely good as the Doctor during these four unique stories. A must have for any fan of the series.
